I have to admit I was incredibly excited when I heard about this book because it combines two of my favorite things, historical novels and Dan Simmons. And Simmons delivers an amazing historical novel that will keep you on your toes.
The Terror tells the story of the crews of two boats, The HMS Terror and HMS Erebus, and their attempt to reach the North Pole as a part of the 1845 Franklin Expedition. Simmons tells their story as a tale of being trapped in the ice for years, living off of rotten food, dwindling coal supplies and the hope
I, Steve
by T Akery November 25th, 2011 | New Releases, Nonfiction
I, Steve: Steve Jobs in His Own Words is a book that records all of the quotes that Steve Jobs made to the media. Steve Jobs was Apple. In his quotes, you find a look into his world and that of Apple.
However, this is not an actual biography of Steve Jobs. It contains his quotes. Most of them are interview quotes and insights into his business philosophy. It is not his life story, which is available for reading in other books.
In some respects, this is the perfect book for the average reader who wants to find out about Steve

Explosive Eighteen

In Explosive Eighteen, the latest Stephanie Plum novel from Janet Evanovich, the sassy, sexy bounty hunter finds herself in the thick of the action as law enforcement and an assorted grab-bag of ruffians and nutcases are coming after her for an answer to an intriguing question.
The book has Plum flying alone back to New Jersey, ruing the developments that turned her dream holiday into something else altogether. What happens to her seatmate on Flight 127 from Hawaii to Newark just removes another brick from the teetering Jenga tower that is Plum’s life: the man is killed during their LA

The Second Summer of the Sisterhood
by Sam P. November 21st, 2011 | Classics, Fiction, Young Adults
For those of you who read the first book of the series, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and are optimistic about reading the second I say, read it! What I loved about the book was how it keeps the same characters. They're joined by a few extra people, but Ann Brashares still keeps the same four as the main characters.
Bridget has taken a turn for the worse over the winter and decides to go to Alabama to find a family member who may be able to answer a few questions about her mother. Tibby leaves Wallman's and

Stargirl

I'm one of those weirdos that like to read books over and over and over again. Some of my favorites are literally falling apart because of so much wear (ahem.... Harry Potter). Other repeats are books that I've forgotten about over the years and rediscover. After so long, it's sometimes like reading a new story -- you remember bits and pieces, enough to pull at that deep part of your brain, but can still be surprised by the twists and turns. My mother is a fifth grade teacher, and going through her library, I've rediscovered countless stories. One of
