Heroes Of Olympus: The Lost Hero (Rick Riordan)

If you enjoyed Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, you’ll certainly enjoy this latest one from Rick Riordan. The Heroes Of Olympus series, starting with The Lost Hero, focuses on Jason, his girlfriend, Piper, and his best friend, Leo. But Jason doesn’t remember the two of them. In fact, he has no recollection of how he got to that point in his life. Then, a freak storm and strange creatures attack their bus on their way to a school trip. The three kids are suddenly whisked off to a place called Camp Half-Blood but they do have no idea what they’re doing there. In the same spirit of the Percy Jackson world, prepare to be swept up in the world of the gods in the Heroes of Olympus series.

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth (Jeff Kinney)

The Diary Of A Wimpy Kid started out as a blog on Funbrain.com by Jeff Kinney in 2004. Since then, Kinney has released books about the blog and even was made based on the best-selling book series. In The Ugly Truth, Greg finally has to face the perils of getting older. There are more responsibilities, more pressures, and without his best friend, Rowley, at his side, how will he survive all of these?

Kane Chronicles: The Red Pyramid (Rick Riordan)

In Kane Chronicles, siblings Carter and Sadie have lost their mother and become strangers in the process. Sadie lives with her grandparents in London while Carter travels the world with their dad, an Egyptologist, Dr. Kane. One night, Dr. Kane brings the siblings together for a research experiment gone awry, when Dr. Kane unleashes the Egyptian god, Set, and banishes him to oblivion. Carter and Sadie are able to escape but not for long. The gods of Egypt are awakening and Set has his eyes on the two of them. Carter and Sadie must now embark on a dangerous journey and discover their link to the secret order that dates back to the time of the pharaohs.

Ranger’s Apprentice: Halt’s Peril (John Flanagan)

In Halt’s Peril, Rangers, Halt and Will and young warrior Horace are in pursuit of the Outsiders, who killed Halt’s only brother. But the Outsiders have divided the kingdom and it will take all of Halt and Will’s skills to survive.

Percy Jackson And The Olympians: The Battle Of The Labyrinth (Rick Riordan)

Percy Jackson is back in a new adventure with his friends, Annabeth and Grover. It’s Percy’s fourth summer at Camp Half-Blood and they face an old foe, former camp counselor, Luke. Luke wants to resurrect the Titan lord Kronos, who wants to overthrow the gods. They try to stop Luke from entering the camp through Daedalus’ Labyrinth, where he can bypass security. In the Labyrinth, Percy and his friends encounter new, nightmare-inducing monsters one after the other.

It’s fun being a kid with all these fantasy books coming out. And you certainly don’t have to be a kid to enjoy them!
