Full Dark, No Stars by Stephen King

I always come back to Stephen King. No fail. I may take a long break, I may not really read a lot of other horror, but if I spy a new work by King on the shelf, I have to pick it up.

Do I like everything he writes? No. But with his characters and his Maine, I always enjoy the ride.

I picked up Full Dark, No Stars from the local library this week and was glad to see that it was not only Stephen King, but it was Stephen King short stories.

Returning to Classics: Hawthorne

Born in Salem, Massachusetts, in 1804 and meeting his end in Plymouth, New Hampshire, in 1864, Nathaniel Hawthorne was a true New Englander. It comes as no surprise that much of his writing centers on New England. His fiction is considered part of the Romantic Movement and has Puritan inspiration. His work often delves into the ideas of inherent evil or sin of humanity. He published four major romance novels:
